This commercial press is constructed around a rigid cast iron
framework,connected by heavy wall tubular steel crossmembers.At the
heart of the printing unit
are the four,alloy steel plate and
blanket cylinders.
The cylinders are precision machined,
chrome plated,and ground to the most exacting tolerances. They
feature narrow plate and blanket gaps,quick lock reel rod clamping
devices,and har-
dened aircraft alloy bearers. The cylinders are high speed
dynamically balanced and are supported at
each end by ultraprecision,
preloaded spherical roller bearings resulting in a unit capable of
print speeds
in excess of 1000 feet per minute.
